Job summary

Flint Cultural Center Academy seeks a dedicated football coach to guide student-athletes in building fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You will relate to and instruct in large groups, small groups, and individual sessions.

The successful candidate will develop game strategies, coordinate with administration and staff, and foster a positive school climate while supporting participation in other sports.

Qualifications

• Background that includes a high level of football knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
• Experience working as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Relate to and instruct student-athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
• Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play.
• Ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.
• Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline, and fundamental teaching skills.
• Work with other coaches by supporting and encouraging students to participate in other sports.
• Able to communicate with players, parents, and other coaches.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.

• Alternate qualifications may be considered.
• Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
