Job summary

Bentley School is seeking a Men’s & Women’s Varsity Cross Country Head Coach for the Upper School campus in Lafayette for the Fall 2026 season. This is a part‑time/seasonal, non‑exempt position with a pay range of $30–40 per hour.

The coach will work with the Director of Athletics to grow and manage the cross country program, plan practices, develop strategies, and mentor student athletes while upholding school policies and fostering a positive culture.

Qualifications

• High school/college coaching experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Availability for weekday afternoons/evenings and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Develop the growth of the cross country program with the Director of Athletics.
• Assist in planning and execution of the cross country program.
• Develop and implement game strategies with the head coach.
• Plan and organize team practices and monitor discipline and conduct.
• Contribute to strength and conditioning programs for the team.
