Position Overview

Varsity Cross Country Head Coach – Fall 2026 season. Part‑time, stipended position, August 10 – November 7. Practices weekdays 3:30‑7:00 PM, with potential meets after. Meets on Thursdays at Van Cortlandt Park; race days may begin after 2:00 PM. Stipend ranges from $3,575 to $6,500 for 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Attend all practices and meets.
• Help create and execute all practice and training plans.
• Oversee team operations and administrative duties.
• Coordinate travel logistics.
• Attend all necessary athletic and school meetings.
• Communicate regularly with student‑athletes, parents, staff, and administrators.
• Provide leadership and give detailed feedback to student‑athletes.
• Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; minimum one year of relevant coaching experience.
• Previous high school or college experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of track and field disciplines, programs, and strategies.
