Job summary

East Side Union High School District is seeking a Varsity Coach to implement sport-specific skills, instill discipline and teamwork, and oversee the program under the Athletic Director and site principal. The role requires adherence to CIF/CCS and district codes of conduct, and collaboration with parents, students, staff and the community.

You will design practices, manage equipment, and support student athletes balancing academics and athletics, while maintaining program integrity and safety

Qualifications

• Must complete Edjoin online application, and submit a Cover Letter and Resume.
• Fingerprint clearance required prior to employment.
• Current TB test results and CPR/First Aid certifications are required.
• ASEP and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) certifications are required.
• Mandated Reporter training and Sexual Harassment training are required prior to employment.
• Concussion certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of rules and techniques for the specific sport.
• Demonstrates leadership, discipline, and teamwork.
• Organizes practices and designs conditioning programs.
• Manages program in line with district policies and guidelines.
• Works with parents, students, staff and the community.
• Maintains communication with the community and school administration.
• Balancing academic workload with athletic commitments.
