Job summary

Summit Management Consulting, LLC is seeking a Varsity Cheer Coach for Landmark Academy Kimball, Michigan. You will provide leadership for the varsity cheer program, plan practices, supervise student-athletes and staff, and prepare the team for games and competitions in alignment with school goals.

You will develop routines, teach skills, ensure safety, and promote sportsmanship and growth within the program, while complying with MHSAA rules and school policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of cheerleading fundamentals, techniques, terminology, rules, safety practices, and coaching methods.
• Ability to instruct, motivate, evaluate, and supervise high school student-athletes.
• Knowledge of spotting, stunting, tumbling, jumps, formations, and related cheer activities.
• Willingness to complete all MHSAA, CAP, school and athletic training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the varsity cheer program.
• Plan and conduct safe, effective practices for varsity athletes.
• Teach and develop cheer skills: cheers, chants, dance, jumps, stunts, tumbling, formations.
• Prepare routines for games and competitions and set team goals and expectations.
