Job summary

Spokane Public Schools is hiring for Varsity Assistant Coach and C-team Coach at Rogers High School. Temporary, extracurricular coaching roles with anticipated start ASAP.

Duties include supervising teams, maintaining safety, and coordinating schedules with the activities coordinator. Requirements include a college degree or training preferred and a high school diploma or equivalent; willingness to work with diverse student athletes and adhere to district policies.

Qualifications

• Must have basic coaching knowledge and ability to teach sport techniques.
• Ability to plan practices and organize equipment and materials.
• Ability to work with staff positively and professionally.
• Commitment to student safety and program development.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and conduct of the team until students are dismissed from the building or returned to class.
• Carry out the administration of the activity regarding insurance, rosters, reports and uniforms.
• Distribute information and schedules to principals, parents and participants.
• Attend meetings and participate in pre/post-season planning.
