Job summary

Rock Ridge High School in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a Tennis Head Coach for the boys varsity team. The season runs from February through May, with responsibilities for training, game strategy, and academic achievement.

The head coach will supervise and evaluate all coaching staff, coordinate with the athletic director and principal, and ensure proper eligibility and safety protocols for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer a Virginia teaching license or full-time classified employee status.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and evaluate all head/assistant coaches for the varsity program.
• Coordinate with athletic director for insurance coverage.
• Collaborate with other head coaches to operate a balanced athletic program.
• Promote sportsmanship and pride in students, team, school, and community.
• Lead training, conditioning, and performance of the varsity team; mentor assistants.
• Be present at all varsity contests and attend JV/Freshman contests when possible.
• Assist with schedule preparation, officials' evaluations, and equipment inventory.
• Monitor facilities condition and eligibility of players; assist with recruitment.
