• Must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Has thorough knowledge of Russell County Public Schools' athletic policies and ensures staff compliance.
• Knows applicable system, state and league regulations; interprets them for staff.
• Follows proper command structure and attends required meetings.
• Establishes the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught by staff; designs clinics and staff meetings.
• Trains and informs staff; encourages professional growth via clinic attendance.
• Delegates duties, supervises implementation and evaluates assistants.
• Maintains discipline, resolves grievances and boosts morale.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the athletic director/principal.
