Job summary

Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, PA seeks an energetic assistant baseball coach for its varsity program. Responsibilities include teaching the game at individual and team levels, building a positive team culture, and communicating with players, families, and staff.

Preference given to those with prior baseball coaching or playing experience and a strong knowledge of skill development. This is a stipend position and requires attendance at spring practices and games.

Qualifications

• Prior experience coaching baseball, or playing competitive baseball.
• Ability to motivate and teach student-athletes in a positive educational environment.
• Demonstrated effective coaching skills.
• Knowledge of baseball skill development.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with players, parents and staff.
• Teach the game of baseball at both the individual and team levels.
• Establish a strong and positive team culture that values leadership, responsibility, and respect, and aligns with JBHA’s core values.
• Build meaningful relationships with players and families as it pertains to baseball.
• Drive student-athletes to practices and games in team van if needed.
• Support the athletic program and student-athletes.

• Spring season: February 22-May 13 (Monday-Thursday with occasional Sunday practices)
• All Fridays and Saturdays are off. No games during Spring Break (April 16-May 1).
• Our team competes in the Friends School League (FSL)
