Job summary

Clark-Pleasant Community School is seeking an Athletics/Coaching staff member to lead the baseball program at Whiteland Community High School. The coach will work under the Athletic Director and Building Principal to coordinate practices, games, and supervision.

The role requires a proven role model, high school baseball playing experience (college preferred), and knowledge of pitching, hitting, and fielding with pitching expertise favored.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a good role model (punctual, prepared, sportsmanship).
• Prefer high school baseball playing experience; college playing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all squad members from reporting time to departure from school grounds.
• Available to attend all functions by 3:05 p.m. (practice, locker room supervision and games).
• Oversee individual and team conditioning workouts.
• Follow all guidelines and policies set by the school and the IHSAA.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the coach and administration.

Qualifications

• 1. The candidate must be a good role model for players (punctual, prepared, sportsmanship, etc.)
• 2. The preferred candidate would have played high school baseball and preferably some college baseball.
• 3. The preferred candidate will have general knowledge of pitching, hitting, and fielding with an expertise in one of the three categories - preferably pitching.
• 4. The preferred candidate will have the ability to instruct and discipline high school students.
• 5. The preferred candidate will have previous high school coaching experience.
