Job summary

Greater Houston Retailers Cooperative Association (GHRA) is seeking a Van Loader for our GHRA Warehouse in Houston, TX. You will move palletized customer orders, load delivery vans, and ensure accurate distribution from staging to vehicles to meet dispatch times.

Requirements include a valid driver license, at least 1 year of warehouse experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse operations.
• Certified on all equipment necessary to perform duties.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate vans in the van yard with a valid Driver License.
• Loads products from staging area to delivery vans.
• Assists builder moving pallets in staging area.
• Confirms Vans are loaded accurately.
• Keeps product in staging area organized.
• Keeps floor and dock area clean.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment.
• Accountable for maintaining pertinent company assets.

Van Loader

Reports to Replenishment Supervisor. Responsible for moving products from staging area to delivery vans.

Primary Responsibility: Maintain accurate distribution of palletized customer orders. Required to complete work assignment to meet dispatch times.

Essential Functions

• Required to operate vans in the van yard. Must have valid Driver License.
• Loads products from staging area to delivery vans
• Assists builder moving pallets in staging area
• Confirms Vans are loaded accurately
• Keeps product in staging area organized
• Keeps floor and dock area clean

• Prolonged walking and standing for 8 continuous hours including but not limited to a concrete or tile surface
• Product replenishing which includes frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
