Job description

South Shore Community Action Council (SSCAC), a private non‑profit serving the South Shore, is seeking full‑time van drivers for our South Shore, Plymouth, and Attleboro/Taunton routes. We offer a state‑of‑the‑art fleet, including a cellphone, tablet, and all necessary equipment provided after training. Full‑time positions come with comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, and a retention sign‑on bonus. Both full‑time and part‑time roles are available, with no nights or weekends required.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient transportation for ambulatory and wheelchair‑bound clients.
• Transport medically involved clients to a variety of appointments throughout the South Shore, Taunton, Attleboro, and Boston.
• Complete daily online paperwork and maintain communication with the Transportation Office.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles, including tablet and cellphone, housed on company premises.

Core Qualifications

• Clean RMV driving record for the last three years.
• Valid Massachusetts state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug & alcohol screening, CORI check post‑interview, and other background checks (e.g., SORI).
• Excellent communication skills and flexibility within the program.
• Competency with a computer tablet for driving routes and paperwork.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.

Retention Bonus
