Job summary

Lakeshore Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Van Driver (CNA) to safely transport residents and support daily transportation needs. You will support residents and their families, manage belongings, and uphold safety and communication standards during routes.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, interior cleaning, and coordinating with emergency services as needed. A CNA certification is highly preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A clean driving record with no points where applicable.
• Active CNA certification on state registry preferred.
• Prior experience transporting the elderly is preferred.

• Safely assist and transport residents.
• Handle residents' personal belongings, medications, and family communications as needed during transport.
• Maintain good rapport with family caregivers, participants, and the community.
• Perform daily safety checks of the vehicle.

Schedule : Full-Time

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Safe assistance and transportation of residents.
• Responsible handling of resident's personal belongings, medications, and family communications which must be conveyed from the participant's residence to the Center.
• Maintaining good rapport with family caregivers, participants, and the community.
• Daily safety checks of the vehicle.
• Daily cleaning of the interior of the vehicle.
• Daily gas-up and weekly fluid check of the vehicle.
• Coordinate driver emergencies in route with emergency assistance.
• Immediately report any problems observed or encountered while transporting residents.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A "no point" driving record verified by the Department of Motor Vehicles if applicable.
• Prior experience in transportation of the elderly is preferred.
• Have an active CNA certification on the state registry (highly preferred)
