Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws governing the operation of school buses.
• Know bus safety rules and regulations.
• Perform pre-trip inspection procedures and inform Support Services Director of needed repairs.
• File complete trip reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain the interior and exterior of the bus in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Know assigned routes to recognize potential hazards and drive safely and economically.
• Follow proper procedure for controlling traffic when crossing, loading and seating passengers.
• Know emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Report accidents immediately and complete required reports.
• Implement the assertive discipline program as directed and maintain positive relationships with passengers.
• Maintain a punctual driving attitude and be courteous to parents.
• Attend training sessions scheduled by Director of Support Services.
• Present an acceptable personal appearance.
• Maintain a standard of personal conduct and self-control that contributes to bus safety.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Support Services.

JOB GOAL: To provide for the safe transportation of students 2 Hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Has knowledge of and obeys all traffic laws governing the operation of school buses.
• Have knowledge of bus safety rules and regulations.
