Job summary

New Horizons Rehabilitation, Inc. in Batesville, IN is seeking a Van Driver to transport individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities using agency vehicles. The Van Driver will assist passengers boarding and disembarking and ensure safe transport to and from facility-based services.

Visual pre-trip and post-trip inspections are required; vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance oversight are expected. Hours are 5:30 am to 8:30 am; drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Twenty-One (21) years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s License and 5 years driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities using agency vehicles.
• Assist passengers as needed with boarding and disembarking.
• Complete visual pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and oversee basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Van Driver

New Horizons is looking for a Van Driver to transport persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities using agency owned vehicles. The Van Driver is responsible for the safe transport of individuals from their home to facility-based services and back. The Van Driver will assist passengers as needed in the boarding and disembarking of the vehicle.

A Van Driver will complete a visual pre-trip and post-trip inspection to ensure the proper and safe functioning of the vehicle. The Van Driver is responsible for the cleanliness and general maintenance oversight of the vehicle assigned.

Job Qualifications

Twenty-One (21) Years of Age or older

Valid Driver’s License and 5 years driving experience

High School Diploma or GED required

Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification
