Job summary

Naples Hotel Group is seeking a Van Driver to transport guests safely to the hotel, airport, and local destinations while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service.

You will assist guests with luggage, share local dining and attraction tips, and coordinate with other hotel staff to meet transportation needs. The role requires a clean driving record, GPS familiarity, and strong communication, with a professional appearance and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 4 years of driving experience.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and map reading.
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Knowledge of local area, roads, landmarks, and attractions.
  • Excellent communication skills, in person and over radio/phone.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in high‑traffic situations.
  • Represent the hotel in a professional, guest‑facing capacity at all times.

Job description

The Van Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation services to hotel guests. This role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, vehicle safety, and local area knowledge. Whether transporting guests to and from the airport, nearby businesses, or local attractions, you will play a key part in creating a positive and welcoming experience. You will be focused on optimizing each guest’s experience by living out our company purpose: “hospitality from our family to yours.”

Job Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport guests to and from the hotel, airport, shopping centers, and other approved destinations in a timely manner.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by opening doors, assisting with luggage, and offering local recommendations on dining, attractions, and events.
  • Maintain knowledge of guest groups, itineraries, and transportation needs to support seamless service.
  • Communicate relevant information to the next shift, including guest requests, unresolved issues, and vehicle status.
  • Follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, and hotel transportation procedures to ensure guest safety.
  • Promptly report accidents, injuries, vehicle malfunctions, or safety hazards to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of hotel vehicles by cleaning interiors and exteriors, fueling as needed, and ensuring regular maintenance is performed.
  • Assist with keeping the porte‑cochère, lobby entrance, and surrounding areas clean and orderly by removing trash, sweeping, mopping, or hosing down as needed.
  • Deliver messages, run errands, or page guests throughout the property as directed.
  • Greet each guest you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile and professional demeanor.
  • Follow hotel procedures for handling lost and found items.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve guest service requests or operational issues.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures including emergency protocols, key control, and protection of guest and company information.
  • Complete required safety trainings and report unsafe conditions or incidents to management immediately.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet evolving business demands.
Job Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 4 years of driving experience required.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and map reading for efficient navigation.
  • Strong understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices, including federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Knowledge of the local area, including major roads, landmarks, and attractions, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over phone or two‑way radio.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and focused in high‑traffic or time‑sensitive situations.
  • Must be able to represent the hotel in a professional, guest‑fac‑ing capacity at all times
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb in and out of vehicles.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds, including guest luggage.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate vehicle controls and handheld communication devices.
  • Visual acuity necessary to safely operate a vehicle, read traffic signs, and navigate via GPS or written directions.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in a variety of environmental conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or humidity.
  • Must be able to respond to guest needs or emergencies promptly, including situations requiring physical assistance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on transportation demand.
