Job summary

Geneva Lake Manor is hiring a Van Driver to safely transport senior residents to medical appointments, shopping centers, and social activities. You will help residents enter and exit the vehicle, keep the van clean, and perform routine safety checks, while adhering to safety procedures and local laws.

Qualifications

• High School Education or the equivalent.
• At least 25 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Must be physically able to lift, push and/or pull up to 80 lb.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, or climb during an 8-hour day.
• Experience dealing with residents/patients.
• Patient, compassionate approach with older adults.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents safely to appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Assist seniors with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and respectful attitude.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Keep the van clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate transportation schedules and mileage records.
• Follow facility policies, traffic laws, and passenger safety procedures.

Job Summary

The Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting senior residents to medical appointments, shopping centers, social activities, and other designated destinations. The driver ensures residents are treated with dignity, respect, and patience while providing reliable and courteous transportation services. Responsibilities include assisting residents when entering and exiting the vehicle, maintaining a clean and safe van, conducting routine vehicle inspections, and following all traffic laws and safety procedures.
