Job summary

Breakthru Beverage Group is seeking a full-time driver to unload and deliver pre-sold beverages from our Distribution Center to accounts in a safe, efficient manner in Jacksonville, FL.

You will manage customer relationships, collect payments, and ensure loads match invoices while adhering to liquor laws, DOT rules, and company safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C driver's license or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and professionalism.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently or in a team.
• Attention to safety and compliance with DOT and liquor laws.

Responsibilities

• Operate a van/non-CDL vehicle to deliver pre-sold products to accounts per route plan.
• Maintain customer relationships and provide courteous service.
• Collect payment and reconcile loads with receipts and delivery invoices.
• Keep load, vehicle, and paperwork compliant with liquor laws and DOT rules.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and log them.
• Return empty containers and manage merchandise returns as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Provides customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Follow route plan as designed and communicate deviations of route plan with leadership when an opportunity presents itself.Collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoice.Records sales by completing daily sales and delivery records.Returns empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise by making appropriate collections from customers.Responsible for paperwork required by liquor laws in which invoices must be signed when the product is delivered.Non CDL / Van DOT ComplianceMaintains records of compliance by completing DOT driver log.Performs duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations while loading and unloading vehicle.Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirementsMaintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.Maintains appearance of delivery van with daily cleaningRequests routine vehicle / equipment maintenance by completing written maintenance request form.Ability to use and maintain delivery equipment such as hand truck, dollies, and pallet jack when necessary.Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.Minimum Qualifications:Possess a valid Class C driver’s licenseDemonstrate effective communication skills with prominent levels of professionalismAbility to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, diligence, and punctualityUtilize sound judgement and critical thinking skillsAbility to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environmentPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience in related area is a plusBi-lingual a plus, but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Frequently sit, stand, bend, squat, and reach.Frequently climb into and out of truck.Regularly lift 45-65 lbs.Must talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a vehicle and tech device.Competencies:Accountable for meeting own targets, work is reviewed periodically.Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available.This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of this position, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks and duties.
