Job summary

American Wholesale Nurseries is seeking a Van Driver to operate on-site at our Dix Hills location, delivering plants and materials to landscape projects. You will load cargo, secure it for transit, and coordinate with dispatch to keep schedules.

Qualifications

Delivering to landscape projects across Dix Hills

American Wholesale Nurseries supplies landscape contractors and property developers across the region with plants, trees, and site materials. As a Van Driver working on-site at our Dix Hills location, you will operate company vehicles to transport wholesale orders directly to client sites and project locations safely and on schedule.

Your daily routes and vehicle care

You will load plants and supplies onto delivery vans, secure cargo properly for transit, and manage delivery paperwork upon arrival at client locations. Maintaining our vehicles in clean, reliable operating condition is a key part of the routine, alongside coordinating directly with our dispatch and warehouse teams to keep delivery schedules running smoothly.

What we look for in drivers

Applicants should hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and bring previous experience operating commercial vans or delivery vehicles. You must be comfortable with the physical demands of loading and unloading nursery stock and landscaping materials throughout a standard shift.

Your first weeks on the road

During your first month, you will learn our delivery routes, get familiar with our warehouse loading procedures, and complete your first deliveries to regular clients across the area. Candidates who match most of these requirements are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation
