Job summary

Masonic Village Assisted Living is hiring a Van Driver to transport residents safely to medical appointments and other approved destinations. You will help residents in and out of the vehicle and ensure comfort, while upholding safety standards in our caring community.

This part-time weekend role offers daily pay and a competitive $18.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license and CDL are required, along with at least one year of patient-transport experience and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and CDL license.
• Must have a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving practices.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience transporting patients to appointments.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff and the public.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Strong desire to work with and support the elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and approved destinations in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle in accordance with facility and safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate any delays or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.
