Job summary

Envive of Brookville is seeking a reliable and compassionate Van Driver to join our team, playing a vital role in the safe and efficient transportation of patients to medical appointments and activities.

You will operate the vehicle safely, assist patients entering and exiting, record trips, and monitor vehicle condition. CNA certification and experience with loading/unloading passengers are preferred, with a focus on compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide certification or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain a motor vehicle.
• Strong record-keeping and instruction-following abilities.
• Able to lift and maneuver up to 80 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• 6-12 months of motor vehicle operation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned motor vehicles to transport patients.
• Develop relationships with patients and residents and provide care and support.
• Assist ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals entering and leaving the vehicle safely.
• Monitor and report the vehicle's condition to supervision.
• Record and document each trip, including attendance, mileage and time.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (lights, fluids, tires).

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate assigned motor vehicles to ensure timely and efficient transportation of patients
• Develop strong relationships with patients and residents, providing exceptional care and support
• Assist ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals enter and leave the vehicle, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Monitor and maintain the vehicle's condition, reporting any issues or concerns to supervisory personnel
• Record and document each bus trip, including passenger attendance, mileage, and time
• Perform basic maintenance functions, including checking lights, fluid levels, and tire pressure

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certified Nurse Aide
• Basic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle
• Skill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle
• Ability to follow oral/written instructions, keep accurate records, and establish effective working relationships
• Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials up to 80 pounds
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• 6-12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle
