Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood in Kalamazoo delivers products on a strict on-time basis. The Van Driver will service routes from Kalamazoo to Chicago and beyond, following a Monday–Friday schedule starting at 6:30am with a pay rate of $20 per hour.

The role includes benefits after 30 days: medical, prescription drug, EFAP; dental and vision; pre-tax savings; profit sharing; and opportunities for family culture and career advancement.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check.
• Clean driving record, as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.

Responsibilities

• Presents a positive image to Halperns’ Steak and Seafood customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of Halperns’ products.
• Operates Halperns’ equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits.
