Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a part-time Van Chauffeur to transport students on a regularly scheduled route, with occasional field trips and after-hours events.

Your role will include safe vehicle operation, adherence to Pennsylvania traffic laws, basic maintenance, and supervising student behavior during transport. A high school diploma and PA driver’s license are required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession of PA driver’s license prior to appointment and during tenure.
• Knowledge of PA traffic laws and vehicle components.
• Ability to operate a van safely on assigned routes.

It is a split shift part-time position with assignments that change daily. A van driver provides rapid response to students to and from school on a regularly scheduled route, alternate sites during the school day, after hours, and school sponsored athletic functions.
