Job summary

Mercer Valve Co. is seeking an entry-level Shipping Clerk in Oklahoma City to prepare valves and related items for shipment, including tag production and line handling.

You will read Work Orders, engrave tags, inspect quality, and move items using pallet jacks or forklifts on the Shipping Line. This full-time role may require varying hours based on production needs; prior shipping knowledge is a plus.

• Previous knowledge of shipping is a plus.
• Ability to use a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Entering basic information into computer software to engrave tags that will be attached to the valves.
• Drill holes into caps and affix wires and tags to valves.
• Fold and secure boxes to be used at the end of the Shipping Line.
• Read specific instructions written on Work Orders and apply as necessary.
• Visually inspect valves and tags for quality.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed to move around items in Shipping.
