If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you## **Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm**## **Pay: Starts at $23 per hour and could be more based on experience**## **Responsibilities**As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:* Responsible for assembly of all automated package* Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product* Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center* Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel* Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages* Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs* Assist with developing automated valve sales training program* Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data* Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands* Willingness to travel up to 25% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations* May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities## **Qualifications**The ideal candidate will possess the following:* Must be at least 21 years of age.* Valid state issued license is required.* Follow all DOT standards and regulations* Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.* 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required* Valve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred* Basic knowledge of computers* Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics* Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines* Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control* Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere* Possess a positive attitude* Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills* A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed* Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate* Ability to learn quickly\\*Pre-employment drug and background screening required\\*At Ferguson, we care for each other.
