Valmet is seeking a Valve Service Technician to inspect, repair, test, calibrate and commission industrial valves across shop and field settings in power, refining and chemical environments. You will read drawings, perform diagnostics, document results, and ensure safety compliance.

Based in Lithia Springs, GA, this full-time role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, travel to customer sites as needed, and the ability to work overtime.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency callouts when necessary.
• Preferred: technical school certification and experience with valve repair.

Responsabilidades

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble control valves, globe valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, and related components.
• Perform valve testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, OEM manuals, and work instructions.
• Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and quality records accurately and timely.
• Support field service activities including installation, removal, maintenance, and commissioning of valves at customer sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with safety policies.
