Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Seattle area seeks a Quality Engineer II to develop and execute quality processes for valve assemblies used in rocket propulsion systems. You will support inspection, manufacturing, and test teams, and review manufacturing documentation including work orders and nonconformance records.

The role requires a BS in engineering or science (or CQE), 3+ years in engineering with at least 2 years in quality, and AS9100/ISO 9001 familiarity.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Science, or equivalent required.
• Experience in a quality engineering role in a production environment preferred.
• Proficiency with valve assemblies, fluid systems, or precision mechanical assembly quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes for valve assemblies in development and production.
• Serve as QA SME for valve assembly operations across inspection, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Perform First Article Inspection planning per AS9102 for valve components and subassemblies.
