Job summary

System One in Irwin, PA is seeking a CAD Designer to create and maintain CAD drawings and 3D models for valve components and assemblies, develop fabrication and installation drawings, and support new product development. The role is onsite and directly hired.

The candidate should have an Associate degree in Mechanical Design and 2+ years of CAD design experience, with proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD, plus strong drafting standards knowledge and GD&T skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CAD design experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with machining processes (CNC turning, milling, grinding, assembly).
• Valve design or ERP/PLM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain CAD drawings and 3D models for valve components and assemblies.
• Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and materials specified.
• Develop installation drawings and service documentation.
• Update drawings based on engineering changes, manufacturing feedback, and customer needs.
• Support new product development and design modifications.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure designs are manufacturable and compliant.
• Apply GD&T standards and support prototype testing.
• Assist with tooling and fixture design for production efficiency.
