Job summary

CPV Manufacturing, an industrial valve manufacturer in Kennett Square, PA, is seeking a Valve Assembler to join our team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on assembling valves and components, with data recording per ISO 9001 and upcoming testing to ensure quality.

We offer generous PTO and holidays, a comprehensive benefits package including 401k match up to 6%, and a Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:15pm schedule. This is an on-site position requiring standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or technical education preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient with mechanical tools and measuring devices.
• Quality-focused with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review work order traveler, assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to assemble valves.
• Clean valve and fitting components per requirements.
• Visually inspect components for defects prior to assembly.
• Assemble product following drawings and bill of materials.
• Conduct pressure tests on assembled valves to verify requirements.
• Record assembly and testing data per ISO 9001 documentation practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by following procedures and rules.
• Assist with inventory levels and notify supervisor when stock is low.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review the work order traveler, assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to assemble valves and other components
• Clean valve and fitting assembly components following requirements that are called out
• Visually inspect components for defects prior to assembly
• Assemble product following engineering drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials
• Conduct pressure test on assembled valves to verify they meet requirements
• Record assembly and testing data using ISO 9001 documentation practices
• Maintain tools and equipment, including preventative maintenance
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Helps to maintain assembly area supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying supervisor when levels are low
• Work in the cleanroom when required, following all cleanroom procedures to assemble product in that environment
• Cross-train in other departments as needed
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, technical education a plus
• Mechanical aptitude
• Able to read basic blueprints
• Proficient in use of mechanical tools and measuring devices
• Quality focus

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Work environment is on the plant floor
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Noise may be moderate to loud
• Must be able to wear proper PPE
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
