Responsibilities

We are looking for a Value Stream Team Leader to support our first shift operations in St. Marys, OH. This role has responsibility for leading the Made to Stock (MTS) and Made to Order (MTO) operations, overseeing day‑to‑day activities, and driving continuous improvement. The team leader reports directly to the Plant Manager and leads a team of associates from the value streams.

• Meet with Value Stream associates regularly to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead daily operations and continuous improvement activities—including supply chain, production control, manufacturing priorities, and coordination between all shifts.
• Ensure that standardized work and processes are followed, implement necessary adjustments, and maintain compliance with safety and 5S requirements.
• Instill a positive team atmosphere, conduct regular team meetings, assign tasks, and coordinate support activities with other departments. Utilize PDCA with Tracking Centers and Team Improvement Boards to achieve results.
• Provide effective cross‑training for Value Stream associates and backup resources from other streams to ensure smooth operation and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop future‑state value stream maps and manage plans to achieve them as documented in the Value Stream Tracking Center.

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resources, and inventory control.
• Strong teamwork and team‑building skills; ability to assess and develop individual and team capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideally, You Will Also Have

• Experience with LEAN teams or a proven track record leading LEAN initiatives.
