Job summary

SMF is seeking a Value Stream Manager for the 3rd shift to lead our operations team in Anderson, SC. You will drive production planning, monitor Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost, and coach team Members for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities include eliminating safety hazards, driving Lean improvements, maintaining 5S standards, and collaborating with CI, Engineering, and Manufacturing Systems to optimize processes. Strong leadership and a continuous improvement mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of supervisory techniques and manufacturing functions.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
• Strong communication & leadership skills with a people-first approach.
• Ability to navigate production areas—including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
• A continuous improvement mindset—you’re always looking for ways to make things better.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer demand
• Monitor & manage key performance metrics: Safety, Quality, Velocity, Cost
• Develop and coach team Members for growth and advancement
• Identify and eliminate safety hazards to keep operations secure
• Drive continuous improvement through TER and Lean practices
• Maintain 5S (CANDO), visual factory, and preventative maintenance standards
• Encourage Member input and foster open communication
• Manage team performance including evaluations, coaching, and corrective action
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Systems, Engineering, and CI teams to optimize processes
