Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a dynamic leader to supervise the seal team in our Aerospace Solutions group. This role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and cost; you will drive lean initiatives and capital planning while mentoring production associates and leads.

The position requires a high school diploma or a B.S. in engineering with 3–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, preferably in metal machining. Aerospace exposure is a plus and remote options are not mentioned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with metal Grinding, Turning, Machining and Assembly preferred.
  • Experience with Aerospace components a plus.
  • Experience in lean environments with setup reduction and standard work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the seal team of Production Associates and Leads.
  • Monitor metrics for Safety, Productivity, Quality, Delivery and Cost; take actions to meet goals.
  • Ensure customers receive high quality products on time.
  • Develop and provide performance feedback to associates and make employment decisions.
  • Drive ownership of Safety/Quality/Delivery/Cost to shop floor and production managers.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking for manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
  • Support lean initiatives and Rexnord Business Systems (RBS).
  • Utilize lean tools to reduce lead times and costs.
  • Lead facility safety improvement initiatives and quality improvements.
  • Lead annual capital expenditures process for capacity growth and cost reductions.

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Aerospace Business Units

Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions supplies engineered high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures. Our aerospace bearing and seal products consist of rolling element airframe bearings and bearing tooling sold under the Shafer® and Tri‑Roller® brand names, Teflon lined polymeric bearings sold under the Tuflite® brand name, slotted entry, split ball and split race bearings sold under the PSI® brand name, self‑lubricating machinable lined bearings and coatings sold under the Rexlon® brand name and mechanical seals sold under the Cartriseal® brand name. Gears and electrical components sold under the Micro Precision® brand name. Our global customer base includes all major engine and airframe OEMs, as well as major Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers to the engine and airframe OEM’s and through our FAA approved repair stations we support major MRO and aircraft operators with repair and overhaul capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the seal team of Production Associates and Leads
  • Monitor various metrics related to Safety, Productivity, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Take immediate actions as required to ensure goals are met
  • Ensure customers receive high quality products that are delivered on time
  • Develop and provide performance feedback to Associates and make various employment related decisions
  • Drive ownership of Safety/Quality/Delivery/Cost to shop floor associates and production managers
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking in regards manufacturing capabilities and capacity
  • Support lean initiatives that support manufacturing operations – Rexnord Business Systems (RBS)
  • Utilize lean manufacturing tools & principles to reduce lead times, improve delivery and reduce costs
  • Utilize 80/20 tools & principles to reduce lead times, improve delivery and reduce costs
  • Drive employee development and grow cross-functional skill capabilities
  • Identify and lead facility safety improvement initiatives
  • Champion quality initiatives that support manufacturing process improvements
  • Support annual capital expenditures process for capacity growth, cost reductions, etc.
  • Lead Total Associate Engagement (TAE)
  • Play a key role in AS9100 QMS support and leadership in the Seal Value Stream

Experience And Skill Required
  • High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related technical field
  • Three to five years of previous supervisory experience in manufacturing processes – preferably in a metal machining environment
  • Previous experience with metal Grinding, Turning, Machining and Assembly preferred
  • Experience working with Aerospace components a plus
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, diverse work environment
  • Strong exposure and demonstrated track record of manufacturing in a lean environment especially in set‑up reduction and standard work implementation
  • Strong project management approach with the ability to manage medium to long term project plans and lead teams to achieve the objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small to medium groups of diverse backgrounds as well as effective communication with various levels of management
  • Proven track record of utilizing sound problem solving skill set and root cause analysis as method of metric driven performance improvements
  • Experience/Exposure in implementing lean daily management/visual management
  • Self‑motivated individual with the ability to lead/drive through the change management cycle
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Other duties as required
  • ISO or AS9100 Quality Management System experience is required

Compensation Details

$110,000 - $150,000

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons.
