Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Value Stream Manager to lead the Value Stream Improvement Plan across the Space Propulsion Systems unit.

This onsite role reports to the Operations Director and may be based in East Aurora or Niagara Falls, NY, with occasional travel between locations. You will drive lean transformation, coach leaders, manage KPIs and P&L impact, and collaborate with process owners to optimize build and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
• At least 7 years of leadership experience in a functional area.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience leading major projects.
• Lean production, Kaizen, and process-improvement experience.
• Ability to explain organizational objectives and negotiate top-level goals.
• Strong ability to develop robust plans with contingency considerations.
• Effective feedback and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Possess broad responsibility and leadership for overall operation of a Value Stream Improvement Plan (VSIP), including planning, design, build and delivery.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the value stream team.
• Maintain and improve SQDC performance and visual management.
• Be highly visible to employees, provide coaching and feedback to team leaders and associates.
• Work with process owners to implement standard work and improve internal processes.
• Collaborate with resource managers to identify skills and develop personnel.
• Provide regular performance feedback to core team members and supervisors.
• Influence the value stream P&L with responsibility for KPI performance.
