Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Value Engineering Technical Manager to lead cost-reduction initiatives across OEM/CM partners and product lines. You will drive design-to-cost and manufacturing efficiency, collaborating with R&D, quality, procurement, and production teams to optimize savings while preserving performance and reliability.

The role requires extensive experience in value engineering within manufacturing, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• 10+ years engineering experience including 3+ years in value engineering within manufacturing
• 8+ years of people management experience
• ODM/EMS engagement models experience
• Technical background in networking product design and development
• Strong value engineering and should-cost modeling knowledge
• Excellent facilitation, analytical and cross-functional presentation skills
• PMP certification or higher is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead VE initiatives across manufacturing partner sites and product lines to reduce total cost and improve manufacturability
• Collaborate with ODMs/CMs, R&D, quality, procurement and production to sustain product cost optimization and supply continuity
• Develop VE proposals with cost-benefit analyses, ROI and risk assessments for leadership
• Mentor VE Program Managers on DFM/DFA and lifecycle costing
• Track VE/cost-out savings against targets and budgets
• Maintain VE idea databases and lessons learned across product families
• Support supplier-driven cost reduction initiatives with strategic sourcing
