Job summary

EPC Power Corp is seeking a Value Engineering & Cost Reduction Engineer to identify and implement strategic cost-saving opportunities across our electronics hardware product portfolio. The role collaborates with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to cut costs while preserving performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in hardware product development, manufacturing, or cost engineering.
• Proven success leading design-to-cost and cost-reduction initiatives for hardware.
• Experience with power electronics, energy systems, or similar hardware.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with BOM structures and ERP/PLM systems (SAP/Oracle/Arena).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain should-cost models for products and subassemblies.
• Establish BOM cost targets at new product programs and track via gate reviews.
• Analyze product cost structures to identify reduction opportunities.
• Lead VE workshops and translate outputs into action plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers and procurement on cost-down initiatives.
• Participate in DFM/DFR to reduce part count and improve yield.
• Support ECO processes for VE-driven design changes.
• Ensure cost reductions maintain functionality and compliance.
