Job summary

WellMed Medical Group in San Antonio's Medical Center is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our clinic. This role emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered medicine within a value-based care model that prioritizes outcomes over volume.

You will care for a Medicare Advantage population, see 14–16 patients per day, and work with a multidisciplinary team to address physical, behavioral, and social health needs. Strong clinical support and access to data will guide decision‑making.

Qualifications

• MD or DO credential required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Care for a Medicare Advantage population within a value-based care model.
• See 14–16 patients per day, enabling meaningful patient interactions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to address physical, behavioral, and social health needs.
• Work in a collaborative environment with support and access to data to inform decision‑making.
• Eligible for an annual quality bonus tied to patient outcomes and performance metrics.
