CenterWell Senior Primary Care in The Villages, FL is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our Eastport Center. This onsite, in-person role focuses on senior-focused primary care, with emphasis on preventive care, chronic condition management and addressing social determinants of health.

You will report to the Associate Medical Director and spend most time in direct patient care, seeing 12-14 patients daily, with a hands-on approach to patient needs inside the exam room and setting the care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board certified or board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted license in the state of employment.
• Current, unrestricted DEA license.
• Two+ years of experience preferred.
• Experience managing Medicare Advantage panels helpful.
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
• Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.

• Maintain medical history and records; refer patients to specialists.

You will have the opportunity take a hands-on approach, addressing patient needs inside the exam room and look beyond to understand how social determinants of health are affecting health outcomes. As a Primary Care Physician, you will report to our Associate Medical Director. This role will be onsite and in-person at the Eastport Center in The Villages, FL.

Responsibilities

As the Primary Care Physician you will focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. You will keep a medical history and medical records. Refer patients to specialists. Influence clinic department's strategy. You will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues. You will have considerable latitude in determining best approaches to assignments.

A day in the life of a CenterWell physician

• Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• See 12-14 patients per day. Opportunity to spend more time with patients
• Spend 100% of your time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient-facing time and general administrative time as it relates to direct patient care

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Board certified or board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment (or willing to obtain)
• Current, unrestricted DEA license

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two+ years of experience
• 1+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
• Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
