Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey in Newark seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst to drive financial reporting and analytics for Healthcare Management. You will analyze monthly revenue and medical costs, explain variances to budget, and support the MOR process and value-based program initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in FP&A within healthcare, strong Excel and SQL skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable cost‑saving recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; healthcare FP&A experience preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years in health care/managed care FP&A with budgeting/variance analysis.
• Solid understanding of P&L management and budgeting principles.

Responsibilities

• Drive and produce financial reporting and analytics for FP&A and MOR.
• Analyze monthly revenue and medical cost; explain variances vs budget.
• Support Value Based Program analytics and partner presentations.
• Lead HCM MOR coordination and consolidation.
• Develop metrics and reports on medical cost performance.
• Mine and analyze data; provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Model financial scenarios for VBP partners and initiatives.
