The Practice Transformation Lead is responsible for supporting The US Oncology Network (The Network) in practice transformation, value-based care, payer program performance, patient experience, care team satisfaction, quality program outcomes, and other healthcare transformation areas. While value-based care is central, broader practice transformation is also key. The Lead will work with a team of Transformation Leads to partner with practices as change and thought leaders, aiming for outcomes that surpass peer and competitor performance in oncology care.
The Lead will engage with Network, Practice, Ontada, & McKesson partners on strategies to transform with clear value for patients, providers, practices, payers, and programs. Prioritization, pursuit, partnership, and performance will be essential to align and evolve practices at the right pace, leveraging innovation, change agency, planning, and collaboration, all grounded in McKesson’s ICARE/ILEAD values.
This role requires coordination across various teams within McKesson & Ontada, including technology, analytics, regulatory, legal, compliance, quality, revenue cycle, marketing, and commercial payor solutions. The role is responsible for delivering practice transformation (e.g., improved patient access/equity, care team experience, readiness for bundled payment, addressing social determinants of health), performance, and compliance with regulatory and commercial value-based care programs, ensuring practices meet key deliverables and avoid financial or audit risks.
The Lead will partner with practices and internal teams on payer agreements, program analytics, and outcomes, achieving shared goals and creating visibility and action plans for performance improvement. Success will be measured by practice engagement, program adoption, and performance metrics.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
