Job summary

A leading children's healthcare provider seeks a Value Analysis Specialist to liaise between supply chain and clinical users. This role involves evaluating supply variations, guiding product evaluations, and initiating engagement with clinical staff on standardization. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in the healthcare industry. This is an on-site opportunity in Brookhaven, Georgia with a commitment to providing a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Three years of related experience.
  • One year of experience in managing and supervising staff.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate supply variation for clinical justifications.
  • Initiate conversations with physicians around standardization.
  • Lead evidence-based product evaluation process.
  • Provide guidance during product evaluation.
  • Train value analysis committee members.
  • Trains value analysis committee members to manage, participate in, and collect data for product evaluations.
  • Assist Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by: being available to teammates, acting as a resource to help complete complicated/complex tasks, providing on the job training to team, and seeking out opportunities to become actively involved in staff workflow and development.
  • Provide Supervisor and/or Manager feedback on staff performance, educational needs, and workflow status.

Job Description

Works as liaison between supply chain and clinical end users. Works closely with value analysis councils to find utilization management and standardization opportunities.

Experience
  • Three years of related experience
  • One year of experience in managing and supervising staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluates identified supply variation for clinical justifications and makes recommendations on standardization practices where applicable.
  • Initiates/leads conversations with physicians and clinical staff around standardization.
  • Leads evidence-based product evaluation process.
  • Provides guidance and oversight during product evaluation process.
  • Provides clinical guidance on substitutions during backorder situations.
  • Trains value analysis committee members to manage, participate in, and collect data for product evaluations.
  • Assist Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by: being available to teammates, acting as a resource to help complete complicated/complex tasks, providing on the job training to team, and seeking out opportunities to become actively involved in staff workflow and development.
  • Provide Supervisor and/or Manager feedback on staff performance, educational needs, and workflow status.
