Work Shift Day (United States of America) Job Summary: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of Value Analysis projects across the health system ensuring consistency with Wellstar's strategy, commitments and goals. More specifically, while maintaining or improving the quality of patient care, leads and manages mutli-disciplinary project teams to identify and implement substantial supply cost reduction, supply standardization, and supply utilization initiatives.
Reviews and assesses applicable financial, clinical, and operational data, as well as evidence-based literature to assist teams in evaluating new supplies and new technology. Appropriately assists in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis and implementation of cost-effective products and purchased services in the healthcare system. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with clinical, administrative, and healthcare system executives and staff to ensure effective, results-oriented project outcomes.
Bachelors Business Science or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Reg Nurse (Single State) - if applicable On Hire Preferred RN - Multi-state Compact - if applicable On Hire Preferred Lean/Project Management Professional (PMP)/Sig Sigma Certification Preferred Supply Chain Professional ACSM-CSCP Preferred Material Resource Professional AHRMM-CRMP Preferred
Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare, supply chain, or clinical setting. Required and Minimum 3 years or more years consulting or project management experience Required and Minimum 3 years or more experience developing financial analyses such as cost-benefit, pro-forma/NPV, ROI, or cost/case analysis Required and Experience analyzing and comparing RFP responses from vendors Preferred and Previous experience using healthcare data for analysis Preferred and Previous experience leading supply cost reduction, standardization or utilization projects Preferred
Proven ability to interact with Senior executives, physician leaders, and clinicians to drive key business decisions. Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects in a timely manner and support multiple projects concurrently. Ability to lead teams and influence others. Strong negotiation, change management, communication, and conflict management skills. Independent and self-motivated. Computer skills include knowledge and use of spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, and the World Wide Web/Internet. Ability to learn new software programs. Basic knowledge of medical-surgical supplies, diagnostic testing, etc. preferred. Knowledge of clinical and operational improvement processes preferred.
