Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Director & Sr Counsel II Value and Access to partner with our Value & Access team on government pricing, contracting, trade, and communications with payers. Remote or CT-based, with travel as needed.

You will advise on FDA regulatory, pricing strategies, and complex government agreements at senior levels. Responsibilities include leading 340B counsel, anti-kickback and False Claims Act matters, and mentoring junior attorneys, while supporting enterprise-wide access

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• At least eight to ten years relevant legal experience; admission to at least one State bar.
• Knowledge in two specialized areas (e.g., patents, FDA Regulatory, commercial, litigation).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills; discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead counsel for our 340B function concerning legal, regulatory, and compliance issues associated with federal programs, government price reporting requirements across the portfolio of medicines.
• Counsel for our Value & Access functions advising on Anti‑Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and competition law matters.
• Providing strategic legal counsel to senior management on product pricing and access matters, with significant interaction with senior leaders across the organization.
• Provide advice and guidance on issues pertaining to best price, WAC, AMP, ASP, and federal and state price reporting.
• Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating complex government, payor, and trade agreements.
• Mentors and/or trains more junior attorneys, paralegals, administrative assistants and/or other personnel within department.
