Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Director & Sr Counsel II Value and Access to partner with our Value & Access team on government pricing, contracting, trade, and communications with payers. Remote or CT-based, with travel as needed.
You will advise on FDA regulatory, pricing strategies, and complex government agreements at senior levels. Responsibilities include leading 340B counsel, anti-kickback and False Claims Act matters, and mentoring junior attorneys, while supporting enterprise-wide access
The Director and Sr Counsel II, Value and Access will primarily partner with the organization’s Value & Access department, focusing on government pricing and contracting, trade, specialty pharmacies and communications with Payers. May also partner with various therapeutic areas on promotional and scientific communications and other strategic initiatives related to market access, government pricing, including 340B.
Provides a broad range of legal services, typically to Clients at the VP level who control business activities and reporting to them. Level of counseling provided requires broader understanding of the impact decisions may have on the overall business, as the risks associated with incomplete advice are high. Duties include drafting of legal documents and provision of legal counsel. Should have acquired knowledge of law in at least two specialized areas (e.g., FDA Regulatory, commercial, litigation, patents etc.) critical to maintaining business operations and be very knowledgeable about the products, competitors and regulatory environment of the company's businesses. Mentors more junior attorneys in areas of expertise.

This position can be remote or based out of our Connecticut office. Travel expected for any remote based candidates.
The base salary range for this position is $230,000 to $345,600. The position may be eligible for a role‑specific discretionary bonus, relocation assistance, and/or other compensation elements. We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future. Actual compensation will be based on job‑related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
