Our client, a Leading Credit Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Valuations Analyst on their Structured Products team.

Responsibilities

• Support the valuation process for a diverse portfolio of credit investments across both private and publicly traded strategies.
• Review and analyze portfolio valuations utilizing a variety of methodologies, including discounted cash flow analysis, market comparables, precedent transactions, and other relevant valuation techniques.
• Partner closely with investment professionals, portfolio managers, and asset management teams to evaluate valuation assumptions, performance trends, and key business developments impacting asset values.
• Analyze financial models, projected cash flows, operating performance metrics, and other investment data to support valuation conclusions and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Assist with the valuation of structured credit and fixed income investments, including the review of pricing information received from external pricing vendors, broker-dealers, and other market participants.
• Investigate pricing discrepancies, assess valuation reasonableness, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve valuation-related questions.
• Monitor portfolio performance, market developments, and asset-level events that may impact valuation outcomes.
• Prepare valuation analyses, supporting documentation, and presentation materials for senior leadership, valuation committees, and other internal stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of investor reporting and other materials related to valuation methodologies, assumptions, and results.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience within valuation, structured finance, securitization, private credit, or a related investment environment.
• Exposure to structured credit products, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, or experience analyzing loan portfolios, specialty finance assets, or other credit investments preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience utilizing financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience developing and maintaining financial models is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with discounted cash flow analysis and other valuation methodologies is a plus.
• Progress toward or completion of the CFA designation is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable leveraging technology, automation tools, and emerging AI-driven solutions to improve analytical workflows, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
