Job summary

Newmark in Boston is seeking an Analyst to assist in collecting and analyzing data to form opinions on market value of real estate for dispute resolution, mortgage underwriting, acquisitions, portfolio analysis and estate purposes.

Under direct supervision, you will support senior staff in preparing appraisal reports, using Excel, Word and Argus, and you will participate in property inspections and training on regulations and appraisal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or related fields; MS/MBA preferred.
• Must have or obtain an appraiser trainee license.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Argus is a plus.
• Experience in real estate analysis or market research preferred.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

SKILLS, EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in real estate or other related subjects such as economics & finance); preference is given to MS or MBA in Real Estate.
• At a minimum, must have or will obtain appraiser trainee license issued by the appropriate state Board.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Argus is a plus.
• Preference given to prior professional experience in real estate analysis, market research or related field.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
