Job summary

Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc. is seeking a Valuation Intern to gain hands-on exposure to business valuation, ESOP advisory and corporate finance engagements.

Interns will work with project teams, learn through mentorship, and handle client deliverables such as valuation reports and pitchbooks in an in-office setting. Candidates actively pursuing finance or related degrees, with coursework in accounting or economics, and strong Excel and Office skills, will thrive.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance or Economics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage tight timelines in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares client deliverables including valuation reports, presentations, and confidential marketing materials (pitchbooks).
• Conducts industry and economic research.
• Assists with valuation modeling projects (DCF, comps, LBO, etc.).
• Participates in project discussions and internal meetings.
