Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a finance professional to analyze and explain historical and projected financial information, perform business and financial due diligence, and conduct industry, competitor, and sub-sector research.

You will build complex financial models in Excel, prepare client or board review presentations in PowerPoint, assist business development, and help grow our Fund Opinions practice by delivering fairness and valuation opinions in collaboration with internal groups.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 1-3 years of investment banking, valuation or related experience.
• Strong accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and a results-driven professional.
• A very strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and explain historical and projected financial information.
• Perform business and financial due diligence.
• Conduct industry, competitor, and sub-sector research.
• Perform complex valuation projects using comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Build complex financial models in Excel to assess company cash flows and/or value specific securities.
• Prepare client/internal board review PowerPoint presentations supporting advice and opinions.
• Assist and support business development initiatives.
• Support relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Execute client engagements and contribute to growing the Fund Opinions practice.
• Partner with internal industry coverage groups and asset class specialists to deliver fairness and valuation opinions and advisory services.
