Job summary

SRI Conference in Salt Lake City seeks a valuation professional to join the AWM Public Product Control team, overseeing valuation across equity, fixed income, alternatives and derivatives for mutual funds, separate accounts and hedge funds.

You will verify investment prices, interact with controllers, PMs, and traders, and help develop a valuation framework for new securities and funds. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, with proficiency in MS Office and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Accounting, Economics or Finance degree preferred, but not required
• CFA, CPA or work towards the designations preferred, but not required
• 2-5 years experience in the financial markets and the investment management industry is preferred
• Requires a willingness and drive to understand valuation methods for the types of securities mentioned above
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to take initiative and work efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AI Tools, including Copilot

Responsibilities

• Work within the AWM Public Product Control team, overseeing valuation across assets and derivatives
• Responsible for the price verification of investments including fixed income, equity and derivatives
• Interact with Controller's management, portfolio management, traders, and support areas
• Assist in the price verification of fixed income securities and OTC derivatives
• Develop valuation and price verification framework for new securities and funds
• Coordinate with independent fund administrators to resolve valuation questions
• Prepare management reports and key valuation metrics
• Coordinate vendor due diligence with pricing vendors and brokers
• Review and update the Valuation Policy annually
