Job summary

Private Equity Firm - Over 55 Billion in AUM in Chicago is seeking a Valuation Associate to support daily NAV processes and valuation documentation.

You will collate inputs from Front Office and data vendors, prepare the US fund valuation pack, and assist the Valuation Committee with materials and timetables. Hybrid work and comprehensive benefits accompany this full-time, direct-hire role.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of relative experience within private equity / alternative fund environment.

Responsibilities

• Collate portfolio and investment-level valuation inputs from Front Office, Portfolio Management and third-party data sources ahead of each daily and periodic valuation cycle
• Prepare and review the daily valuation pack for the US registered funds
• Maintain valuation support files, audit trails and documentation for portfolio positions
• Support the Valuation Committee process — preparing materials, tracking approvals and ensuring adjustments are reviewed and documented
• Monitor portfolio-level pricing, corporate actions and capital activity feeding into the daily NAV
• Maintain and improve process documentation and controls
• Act as a day-to-day point of contact for the valuation agent and third-party pricing and data vendors
• Support the oversight of valuation agent deliverables and reporting timetables
• Assist with the coordination of Board and regulatory reporting deliverables relating to valuation
