Job summary

Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a Business Valuation Associate in Houston, TX. You will build financial models for valuation, perform due diligence, and prepare detailed valuation reports for private equity, corporate clients, and financial institutions.

You will join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team that provides broad exposure to valuation challenges across industries, while developing critical thinking, research, and professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of business valuation experience or relevant coursework/internship in valuation and financial modeling.
• Completion of, or progress toward, professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ASA, CPA) is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational capabilities.
• Motivated, results-oriented, proactive in entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models for valuation, strategic planning, and transaction planning.
• Perform due diligence and manage client documentation for model development and deliverables.
• Prepare written valuation reports covering industry research, macroeconomic analysis, company-specific financial analysis, and valuation methods.
• Serve as a member of cross-functional client engagement teams and work with other firm service groups.
• Maintain positive, productive relationships with client personnel and coworkers.
• Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members.
• Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client’s business.
